See me at the next Adoption Day!

My names Randell, but I’m a “Mr. Steal your girl” kind of pup. I’m learning to be a puppy, since I spent a while on restriction due to a broken foot.  I LOVE toys and balls and like to spend a lot of time in the backyard playing with my toys rolling around in the grass. I’d love to have a sibling, I do much better when I have someone to show me the ropes. I’m potty trained, I roam the house when my foster humans aren’t home, I have little to no interest in cats. Did I mention how much I LOVE toys and balls? I will play fetch all day long and I’m getting better everyday with bring my human the ball back. I’m also learning how to walk properly on a leash, but I’m getting the hang of it. I love to cuddle up with my human and I sleep in the bed with my foster siblings and the humans. I get along with all other dogs, I just want to play play play! I know sit, down, stay and I come when you call or whistle for me.  I’ll do just about anything for a ball. I love to wear my shirts my foster mom got me, they make me feel relaxed and secure when I wear them. I do get skiddish at night or in dark places, I’m learning to sit to get human attention when they come home. I want to be with my humans wherever they are, I like to go in the car and I can load up and get out without a problem.

Randell is learning to not react when he is surprised.  This could be due to him being hit by a car and he may have some PTSD with it.  So, if he is surprised by another dog, he will lunge and react to the dog.  Once he knows people and dogs are there, he does feel better.  He does show some anxiety, so has been wearing shirts to help calm him and it seems to be working.

Randell was taken from Oakland Animal Services when he was just a pup, and came to us with a broken leg.  He is shy and wary due to this, so he will need an adopter that will make him feel safe and secure.
